Identifying "Assumptions" happens in much earlier stage in program right from program definition stage. As the program proceeds further, there will be "Assumption analysis" happens to validate the identified assumptions on ongoing basis and its very important exercise to do as a part of "Program risk management". Fundamentally, every stage in the program there will be certain level of planning happens. The level of clarity at that stage may not necessarily be 100% hence its important to document the specific assumptions and carry on with the plan and move forward. During the course of journey, the assumptions will be re-looked upon to check is it still an assumption (or) wrong assumption (or) any action to be taken.
