Yes. It's a very good question related to Risk management practice.


During the risk identification process there will be potential responses also identified if we have clarity on the risk response strategy for the respective risk. If so, its important to document the potential risk response strategies so that during later stage in risk analysis those documented information will be valuable to analayze and finalize the risk response plans. For example: "Unavailability of SME" during deployment is identified as a risk. A possible response strategy would be to nominate few internal team members to get trained by SME in order to avoid person dependency and to minimize the impact of the risk. When a possible risk response strategy is known immediately when we identified a risk hence its document the response strategy along with the identified risk and can be relooked upon during risk analysis stage and finalized when risk response plan is created.
